A college degree can open doors, and we’re here to help make that possible. The Christine Skoski, M.D. Scholarship is designed to support students living with limb loss or limb difference as they pursue their undergraduate education. Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Skoski and our donor community, we provide a one-time, $1,000 scholarship to outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and a commitment to their future.

This scholarship is offered through the Amputee Coalition’s Youth Engagement Program (YEP) and is one of many opportunities available to help students achieve their educational goals.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you must:
✅ Be registered with the Amputee Coalition (Not registered? Sign up today!)
✅ Be living with limb loss or limb difference.
✅ Be under the age of 23 at the time of application submission.
✅ Be a graduating high school senior or undergraduate student enrolled full-time or accepted to an accredited U.S. college or university.
✅ Be a U.S. resident or citizen.

Additional Requirements:
📌 Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale.)
📌 Demonstrate financial need.
📌 Show a strong interest in pursuing a career in any field of study.

How to Apply

Scholarship recipients are selected based on:
📝 A one-page, double-spaced essay explaining how this scholarship will support your educational journey
📄 Two letters of recommendation highlighting your qualities and strengths
📊 A GPA of 3.5 or higher
💡 Proof of financial need

Scholarship Award Details

🎓 Award Amount: $1,000 (maximum)
🎓 One-Time Award: Recipients may receive this scholarship only once
🎓 Post-Award Requirement: Recipients must submit a brief thank you letter to the Amputee Coalition, sharing how the scholarship has supported their college journey

This scholarship is not renewable, but we encourage all students to explore additional funding opportunities through YEP.
